Check out the ‘wow factor’ at Ulele restaurant opening Tuesday

The doors to Ulele, one of Tampa’s most highly-anticipated restaurants, officially open Tuesday, Aug. 26.

The red-brick building in Tampa Heights that used to serve as a steam-powered pump house has been transformed into an upscale eatery with a rooftop bar, beer garden and microbrewery.

Ulele’s “native-inspired” menu features locally-sourced foods, which pay homage to Tampa’s pre-European tribal cultures and pioneer days.

Take a look inside this 112-year-old converted Water Works building and how it’s reviving the Tampa Heights area.
