Coronavirus A Favor For The Environment

The virus spreads all over the world. Many people around the globe have been infected and thousands have died. To be able to decrease the probability of contamination, we need to steer clear of one another, we have to pass on celebrations, pass on holidays, no travel, and we simply can’t sit next to each other.

We have to spend time at home as much as possible, even work has to be done at home. People now have time to sort storage spaces (need a storage? check self storage prices here) Only necessary errands should be done. The limit of our primary liberties like travel and simple liberty of motion, our human rights are being put to the test for the better.

But the environment has gone happy

Although humans are being isolated from society to fight the spread of deadly viruses, one of them is doing well: the earth. At the start of the year, our planet has been on the road to recovery, taking a break from all the air pollution brought on by cars and factories each day, water and land pollution brought on by waste and garbage.

When the Chinese national authority began to isolate huge numbers of people on late January of this year, the transportation of people and all activities to and from Wuhan stopped, and air quality was greatly improved. First in the pandemic cities, then in other parts of the country.

This is shown by satellite images of the US space agency Nasa and the European Space Agency Esa: The concentration of nitrogen dioxide in the air dropped significantly these weeks, the harmful gas that is emitted by motor vehicles, power plants and industrial plants and causes millions of people to become seriously ill every year – many of them even kill ( European Heart Journal: Lelieveld et al., 2019 ).

Satellite images from NASA and the European Space Agency (ESA) show that the amount of nitrogen dioxide mixed in the air has fallen considerably, which are released by automobiles, power plants and production facilities. These emmissions are Harmful gases that caused serious illness to many people.

NASA thinks this is because of the economic collapse brought on by the corona spread. Earlier events (like the 2008 global economic crisis) likewise have an effect on air quality, but such a large area has never seen such a sharp decline.

In another area affected by this virus, in northern Italy, a similar situation can be seen. Nitrogen dioxide levels had been considerably reduced Milan and Venice areas where Italian authorities initially constrained 16 million people.
